Come out to walk and wag at the 8th Annual Woof-A-Palooza dog walk benefiting the cats and dogs of Chatham Animal Rescue and Education, Inc. (CARE). This furry fundraising event will be held on Saturday, September 19th from 10 am to 2 pm on the campus of Central Carolina Community College in Pittsboro, NC. Pittsboro Mayor and Woof-A-Palooza emcee, Randy Voller, proclaimed Saturday, September 19th as "Woof-A-Palooza Day" in Pittsboro. We are pleased to announce that three generous children, that we affectionately refer to as your kids who care are helping us kick off our walk this year: Miss Hope Anderson (age 9), Mr. Jamie Nadasky (age 8), and Miss Lilly Lennard (age 4). Each of these youngsters chose to celebrate their last birthdays in a very special way. In lieu of receiving birthday gifts, they asked their party guests to donate to the animals of CARE. We thank them for their kindness and for being an inspiration to all, to help the animals in need. The walk will begin at 11:00 AM led by Hope, Jamie and Lilly. Adoptable dogs will be awaiting their forever homes at Woof-A-Palooza. New to Woof this year: Dog Wash provided by Dog Scrub! $20 for large dogs $10 for small dogs; $5 nail trims; animal massage, Live music provided by Matt Daniels and a used book sale with over 500 books. Food, beverages and homemade desserts will be on sale beginning at 10 AM. All proceeds benefit the animals of CARE. You may register for the walk on Saturday morning beginning at 10:00 AM. The registration fee is $25 and includes a goody bag filled with coupons, treats and a t shirt. Be be sure to bring proof of rabies with you. The top three fundraisers will receive prizes at this years Woof walk.
