Raleigh, N.C.—Diane Dennis, co-chair of the Big Bad Ball (@bigbadball) event committee announced today that attendees of the event will be able to bid on over 60 items and services that offer great deals for everyone. From home improvement packages to roundtrip airfare to pizza for a year, silent auction items worth thousands of dollars will be sold to the highest bidder.
For the Fashionista, spa treatments, Bobbi Brown cosmetics, facials, and jewelry will delight. For the Foodie, gourmet dinners, award-winning cheeses, wines, and even a five course dinner with beer pairings are sure to please. Fans of all sports will go for tickets to football and basketball games, a 2008-2009 National Championship Team signed basketball, a signed shirt by Nascar favorite Kasey Kahne and much more. Some of the more unique items are a cigar package, teeth whitening, a guided trip on the Haw River, and a spa day for a pampered pet.
"The silent auction at the Big Bad Ball is one of the most talked about parts of the event," said April Mills, event co-chair. "Guests enjoy perusing the auction and watching the bidding on their favorite selections. And knowing that all the funds raised from the auction go directly to Hospice of Wake County makes for a feel good evening all around!"
Hosted by the Young Executives Board of the Capital City Club, the 8th annual Big Bad Ball is the gala fund raiser for Hospice of Wake County, a private nonprofit organization that provides compassionate end-of-life care and support for terminally ill patients and their families. In addition to live music, the black tie event will include a silent auction, dancing and gourmet food and drink.
