In the early morning hours of Aug. 23, police say the man entered the Shell Family Fare at 2110 North Roxboro Street and asked the clerk for change for a dollar.
When the clerk opened the cash drawer, the man attempted to grab money from the register, but the clerk was able to shut the drawer. The suspect then grabbed money from the counter and fled.
He is described as a black male, 16 to 25 years old, standing around 5'7" to 5'8" tall and about 140 to 150 pounds. He had a mustache and goatee.
