CLAYTON, N.C. -
Clayton police arrested a local man Wednesday for growing marijuana.
Police were at 59-year-old Mark William Brunner's home on E. Front Street because of an unrelated investigation. An officer noticed the three- to eight-foot plants and called detectives. They seized 19 marijuana plants with an estimated street value of $47,500.
Brunner is charged with one felony count of manufacturing marijuana; one felony count of maintaining a dwelling to manufacture marijuana; and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Brunner is in the Johnston County jail under $11,000 secured bond.

I had the same thing happen to me. Except they threw me in under a 70,000 dollar bond. Dont you think there is more harmful things going on in our town of Clayton, why prosecute the peaceful rather than turn your heads to the violent? Waste of money and time, and ruining people's professional lives. Get real CPD

It is a waste of tax dollars you have harder drugs that we need to be highly cautious of like those we can actually have legally like Vicodin and stuff like that.
