For the first time since she took office as governor, Beverly Perdue will speak at the Global TransPark board meeting in Kinston.
Perdue will speak Tuesday morning about her expectations for the TransPark to assist in building North Carolina's aerospace economy.
Also attending the meeting are Transportation Secretary Gene Conti and Commerce Secretary Keith Crisco.
As of last year, the state-owned industrial park had received more than $80 million in state and federal funds since it was created in 1991. It was meant to spark the economy of eastern North Carolina.
