FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

A 14-year-old boy is being treated for smoke inhalation after being rescued from a fire at his home, according to police.

It happened at 125 Kensington Circle in Fayetteville around 2:35 a.m. Friday.

There's no word on if anyone else was inside the home when the fire started.  The teen was transported to Cape Fear Medical Center.

Fire investigators believe an overloaded surge protector caused the fire in the front of the house.
