RALEIGH, N.C. -
North Carolina Republican Party Chairman Tom Fetzer now has another new title - husband.
Party spokesman Jordan Shaw said Fetzer and Kate Spina got married Saturday in a small wedding on the North Carolina coast. Fetzer said last week it would be at a home belonging to George Holding, the U.S. attorney for eastern North Carolina.
Fetzer was mayor of Raleigh for six years in the 1990s. He recently served as a political consultant for clients including then-U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Dole.
Fetzer defeated three other candidates in June to become party chairman.
The couple met while working on the campaign trail.

This is too funny. I find it pretty interesting that a never married 50 somthing man that is accused of being gay ended up marrying shortly after that accusation and to a young girl that I have heard is only 24. He ran for Chairman and was quoted back in June in defense of the claims that he hopes to meet a woman of his dreams. And a short few months later he gets married. Sounds arranged if you ask me.
