Business Insurance Names 2009 Best Places to Work in Insurance

The Redwoods Group, a commercial specialty insurance provider headquartered in Morrisville, NC, was one of 33 companies across the nation selected as 2009 Best Places to Work in Insurance by Business Insurance magazine and Best Companies Group.

Best Companies Group, an independent workplace excellence research firm, oversaw the registration process, conducted employee surveys, evaluated the data and selected the winning companies. The competition was open to all publicly or privately held insurers, agents and brokers with at least 25 employees working in the U.S. and serving the commercial lines market.

Completion of an employer questionnaire was responsible for 25 percent of a company's score, while 75 percent of the score involved responses to a confidential 76-question employee engagement and satisfaction survey, used to evaluate the employees' workplace experience and company culture.
