RALEIGH, N.C. -

A former detention officer with Wake County is facing charges that he provided drugs and a knife to at least one inmate.

The Wake Sheriff's Office arrested Timothy Bullock, 26, Friday evening.

The arrest warrants say the former detention officer provided marijuana to an inmate in the Wake County Jail on several occasions in April and May of this year.

One at least one occasion, the detention officer is also accused of providing a "deadly weapon, a knife" to the inmate while in the confinement facility.

The arrest warrants also state Bullock conspired with a person, Tonya Bridges, to deliver the drugs.

It was not immediatly clear how the two knew each other.

Bullock was placed in the Wake County Jail under a $100,000 bond.

He faces four counts of providing drugs to an inmate, three counts of possession with intent, three counts of conspiring to sell or deliver and three counts of selling or delivering marijuana.

Phyllis Stephens with the Wake Sheriff's Office said Bullock was no longer an employee of the Wake County Sheriff's Office.  The investigation is ongoing and could not provide any additional

information, Stephens said.

I KNOW THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT WE GOING TO DISLIKE THEIR WAYS. BUT CAN YOU FIND IT IN YOUR HEART TO FORGIVE HIM? HE GOT TO PAY FOR HIS MISTAKES. WE ALL KNOW THAT NOONE IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER PERSON. DONT BE CAUGHT WITH THAT HATE IN YOUR HEART WHEN JESUS RETURN. JUST WANTED TO ENCOURAGE YOU WITH THAT. I RESPECT THE WAY YOU FEEL, BUT LETS LOVE ONE ANOTHER. WE NEVER KNOW WHAT SOMEONE MIGHT BE GOING THROUGH.

I know this guy also, and I can't stand him. He thinks he is better than everyone... including the law apparently.

Hey guys, I know this guy personally. He doesn't drink, smoke, or do drugs. Everyone is very taken aback by these charges. Not sure exactly what's going on, or what the circumstances are in this situation; however he does need prayer. God Bless! -E

YES I UNDERSTAND HIS POSITION. EVEN SOME OF JESUS FOLLOWERS DENIED HIM AND PUT HIM IN JEAPORDY. THERES NO BETTER POISTION THAN BEING A CHRISTIAN AND FOLLOWING JESUS. SO EVERYBODY IS TITLE TO MAKE MISTAKES. EVEN IF HE BE FOUND GUILTY ,JESUS IS JUST ENOUGH TO FORGIVE HIM. THE PROBLEM COMES IN WHEN WE KEEP HOLDING IT IN OUR HEART A WRONG SOME HAS DONE. WE ALL HAVE DONE STUFF WE SHOULDNT HAVE DONE. LOVE COVERS A MULTITUDE OF SIN. SO BEFORE WE JUDGE HIM AND HOLD IT AGAINST HIM, INSTEAD LETS KEEP HIM IN OUR PRAYERS.

Um...uh...doesn't it say arrested and not convicted? Inmates have been to known to lie on detention officers but I'll wait until if/when he is convicted to call him a scumbag.

You saw what inmates go through , why would you take that chance.Did you think this inmate cared about you? Dont look at what you might gain, realize what you might loose !

Your selfishness has cost you everything. It just goes to show you that everyone is vunerable and we should not point the finger at someone else because it will just show how anyone could end up in the slammer... EVEN YOU MISTER OR MISS READER. No one is excused from mishaps. This one just happened to be a detention officer. And to Scotty just lock up the scumbag you said..Look at yourself thoroughly before you casts stones at a glass house. Because we ALL have fell short of the Glory of GOD. Please pray for him.

Why? Why did you jeopardize the safety and security of the jail facility, but most importantly your fellow co-workers. You knew what you were doing, but your apathetic attitude has cost you everything. Only God can help you now.

  • By JUVONIE FINCH on 10/24 02:05 AM

EVERYBODY IS SOMEBODY. HE DOESNT DESERVE TO BE CALL A NAME. HE STILL HUMAN. FOR WE ALL HAVE SIN AND FELL SHORT OF GOD'S GLORY. THERE IS ALOT OF UNFAITHFUL PEOPLE IN HIGH PLACES. HE JUST GOT CAUGHT. WHY NOT LOCK THE DRUGS DEALER UP ON THE STREET JUST AS QUICK AS THEY DID HIM.

  • By scotty on 10/23 11:55 PM

Lock the scumbag up & throw away the key. Anybody who would take a measure of trust and soil it, doesn,t need to be out with the free.
