DURHAM, N.C. -
Police say a juvenile who left a detention center for a day visit has not returned.
The juvenile identified as, "Melkym," last initial "D." was last seen on Fayetteville Street in Durham N.C. at noon Sunday.
He did not return to C.A. Dillon Youth Development Center after an eight-hour visit.
The juvenile's home county is Wake County. The Department has notified local law enforcement and is cooperating fully with the investigation.
Due to the unpredictability of juvenile behavior during an escape, the Department has a high degree of concern for the safety of both the juvenile and the public.
