The Southwest Wake chapter of Mothers & More will hold it's annual Open House on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 7:15 PM at the New Horizons Fellowship Annex in Apex. The Open House will introduce women to the many services Mothers & More provides. All prospective members may attend with no obligation to join. The event is for moms only, with the exception of infants under 4 months-old.

The event will feature a guest speaker, Amy Tiemann, Ph.D., author of Mojo Mom—Nurturing Your Self While Raising a Family. Learn more about Amy Tiemann at www.mojomom.com. Refreshments and door prizes will also be provided.

The theme for the evening will be "Reconnecting with Your Self and Other Mothers." The Southwest Wake chapter offers two meetings a month with topical discussions and/or guest speakers in addition to moms' nights out, playgroups, opportunities to reach out to other mothers, and more.

Mothers & More offers a place where mothers can talk honestly about the ups and downs of motherhood and receive the support, friendship and affirmation of their many roles as a mother, a woman, and a unique person. Serving over 5,000 members in the US and beyond, Mothers & More is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of mothers through support, education, and advocacy. It addresses mothers' needs as individuals and members of society, and promotes the value of the work mothers do.
