CARY, N.C. -
The Town of Cary will honor the late coach Kay Yow by dedicating a gym court in her honor.
Yow, a former Cary resident and coach of NC State women's basketball coach, was made aware that the court at Herbert C. Young Community Center would be named after her while she served as the official tree lighter in December 2008.
The ceremony will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14. at the Herbert C. Young Community Center at 101 Wilkinson Avenue.
Part of the ceremony will feature special speakers and a celebration of Yow's contributions to her community. The dedication ceremony is open to the public.
