The yearly Butterball Turkey Talk Line is going from the phones to the classroom this year with the Military Butterball University.
There were about 25 military wives from Fort Bragg and Seymour Johnson Air Force Base who gathered at the Butterball facility in Garner for Turkey 101. They learned how to cook, cut and serve turkeys for this holiday season.
Shawn Cason said it's more than just about the turkey.
"It's important to hold onto tradition even though our families are sometimes separated during the holidays. We have to keep that tradition and have the ability when our husbands are home to prepare something that will have lasting memories," Cason said.
Anyone can call the turkey line 24-hours a day at 1-800-Butterball or click here to visit their website.
