There's a new push to get visitors to Raleigh and Wake County and starting today a new logo to go with it.
You could call it a "brand" new look, because the logo is part of a new branding campaign.

The new brand is the result of a year of research involving out of town visitors and local tourism, hospitality and civic leaders.
The result was a campaign focusing on four attributes: dynamic, smart, unexpected and celebratory, officials said.
"We want to position Raleigh as the heart of the new Southeast," said Denny Edwards, the president and CEO of the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitor Bureau.
The colors in the logo reflect findings in the survey: the environment, the strength and vitality of the capital city and the elegance and sophistication of the region.
"We've also included the words visit Raleigh as a call to action instead of a slogan or tagline," noted Edwards.
The new logo will be used in all marketing campaigns. The Bureau plans to spend $1.8 million in advertising, public relations and marketing in the coming year. The bureau reports last year, 1.3 million people visited Raleigh and Wake County.
