Starting Friday night, Raleigh bar patrons can find out what they would blow on a blood alcohol test if stopped by the cops -- from the safety of the sidewalk.
Alcohol Educators, Inc. will begin providing a new push cart vending service to downtown visitors. For a $5 fee pedestrians can take an alcohol breath test to determine their blood alcohol concentration. This service will provide clients with accurate breath testing using the same portable alcohol screening devices used by law enforcement.
The "BLOW THIS" cart will be located at the corner of Johnson and Glenwood Avenue Friday and Saturday nights this weekend from 9:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., weather permitting. While novel in appearance, Alcohol Educators, Inc. hopes clients will find this service educational, and ultimately lead to decisions not to drive while impaired.
According to a spokesman for Alcohol Educators, the cart is just as valid as the police system.

I am too drunk to drive. Luckily, I am at home. I like to blow things too. This program is FABULOUS!
