The seal was set to expire on Saturday, but Superior Court Judge Donald Stephens is extending the seal until Monday.
Stephens has been on vacation all week and wasn't able to set up a hearing regarding any possible longer-term extensions before the seal expired.
Court papers say that the District Attorney may request that parts of the warrants remain under seal.
The District Attorney's office now has until 1 p.m. Monday to file a motion requesting the seal be extended; otherwise the warrants will become public record.
If prosecutors do file a motion, there will be a hearing scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
Nancy Cooper was reported missing on July 12 and found dead a couple miles from her home two days later.
Police have made no arrests, nor have they named a suspect.
