RALEIGH, N.C. -

Wake County schools are still working on fixing a down server that is causing minor hiccups just days before school starts.

An online parent access network called SPAN, has been down since Tuesday.

SPAN, stands for Student Parent Access Network. It is an online server available for families in Wake County to access student class schedules, attendance records and grades.

AN official with Wake County Schools said that although SPAN is still a new program, they've never had this problem in the last two years.

There are 23 high schools in Wake County, and all of its students can't access their information online until the server is fixed.

The network is currently working on campus only, so if a student didn't get their schedule in the mail, the school can issue one out.

Officials say, they hope to have the problem fixed by the first day of school, next Monday.
