Town officials said public works crews are preparing for the worst if Tropical Storm Hanna hits the Triangle.
Crews have been checking storm drains to make sure they are clear and checking generators for Town Hall, the police station and fire stations.
Those crews are also checking supplies and topping of fuel in town vehicles. Preparations have been made for workers to be on duty around the clock if the storm hits.
Communication systems have also been checked and are ready to be used if the town has to activate their emergency operations center.
For event cancelations, non-emergency phone numbers and other information check the town's website at http://www.hollyspringsnc.us/.
Final plans for the storm will be determined at a meeting Friday morning.
